Ways to serve

As we gather each week, volunteer teams make our Sunday worship possible. Regular attendees and members may serve by praying, participating in the service, providing hospitality, helping in the children’s hall, and / or serving behind the scenes.

There are also opportunities for you to engage with fellow believers and neighbors during the week, and as we grow, we will also be regularly serving our city and the world!

How can I serve?

Currently we have several ways to serve weekly, and we make the work lighter as we share the load.

Greet: Warmly welcome service attendees and help them with any questions.

Set Up / Teardown Team: Pairs of volunteers take care of our signage, set up the stage, ready the hospitality area, and turn on and shut off the air and lights each week.

Set Up / Clean Up for Communion: Help to get everything set up and then reset for communion each week.

Usher: Direct congregants to their seats and through communion, and lend a helping hand when needed.

Enrich our Service with Music: Use your musical abilities to facilitate Christ's Word dwelling richly among us through singing. We're expanding our music team and seeking two to three musicians from our church family to enrich our weekly worship service.

Read Scripture: Read a selected Scripture passage or passages during the service.

Assist in Children’s Ministry: There are several ways to serve in children’s ministry. We need both teachers and assistants to care for different ages of children. Depending on the position, you could be nurturing and playing with the littlest in our midst (ages 3 mos - 5 yrs) or teaching a lesson for our elementary age children. We also need a check-in / hallway coordinator on Sunday.

Provide Snacks, Sides, and Dessert: We ask families to sign up once per semester to provide snacks for our after-service fellowship. Monthly fellowship meals take place on the first Sundays (except for holidays), and all are asked to provide a dessert or side.
