Fourth of July Flooding

Our hearts ache with those affected by the Fourth of July floods. While we continue to lift up in prayer those who are grieving, we will post all available opportunities for serving and helping with restoration on this page in the coming days, weeks, and months.

GO

Austin Disaster Relief Network is currently in need of volunteers for a wide variety of services related to the flooding, from donation sorting to manning the phones, to Spanish-speaking volunteers on the ground. If you' are looking for a hands-on place to serve, we encourage you to sign up through ADRN.

The Ark of Highland Lakes is organizing an incredible recovery response. You may sign up to participate in volunteer efforts through their website.

GIVE

Our sister PCA church, Christ Church Presbyterian in Kerrville, TX has set up a recovery fund for those in the community affected by the flooding. We encourage all gifts to be made to their fund here.

Many, if not most, of us know someone directly impacted by the events of July Fourth weekend. As Christians, we are called to “rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep” (Rom. 12:15). Take time to be with one another, those immediately affected, and those simply feeling the weightiness and sadness of the world right now. Pray with and for one another. Need a place to start? Begin with the Psalms…
