August 2023, Mission Church Status
Resurrection Presbyterian was established as a mission church with All Saints Presbyterian sessional oversight at the August 11-12 meeting of the South Texas Presbytery.
Fall 2023, Interest Meetings
Throughout the fall of 2023 we held interest meetings to communicate our vision, mission, and core values; to answer questions; and to pray.
November 5, 2023, Core Group Commitment Day
By November 5, 2023, we asked for a solid core group commitment. At this point we also began searching for potential staff hires.
Early 2024, Core Group Gatherings
From January - March 2024 we gathered our core group for Bible study, prayer, and community building.
During this time we also identified leaders, nailed down a worship location, and solidified church, city, and global serve teams.
Spring 2024, Preview Services
We held a series of eight preview services throughout the spring and summer with plans of launching public worship in August.
August 18, 2024, Inaugural Service
We held our first public worship service.
March 30, 2025, Member Sunday
In the spring of 2025, 37 members officially joined Resurrection as a Mission Church of the PCA.
